Home Politics Trump says he feels ‘very badly’ about Manafort guilty verdict

U.S. President Donald Trump on Tuesday said that he felt “very badly” for his former campaign manager Paul Manafort after a jury found him guilty on eight counts, but he argued Manafort’s tax and bank fraud trial had nothing to do with his presidential campaign.

“It doesn’t involve me,” he told reporters after landing in West Virginia for a rally.

“It has nothing to do with Russian collusion. This started as Russian collusion. This has absolutely nothing to do …This is a disgrace. This has nothing to do with what they started out … looking for Russians involved in our campaign,” he added.
