Angela Merkel will hold talks with Russian President Vladimir Putin near Berlin on Saturday, according to the chancellor’s spokesperson.

The two leaders are expected to discuss “current international issues,” including the war in Syria, violence in eastern Ukraine and energy policy, Merkel spokesman Steffen Seibert said at a press conference Monday.

The meeting will take place at Schloss Meseberg, a palace 65 kilometers north of Berlin that serves as the chancellor’s official retreat.

The two leaders last met in Sochi in May.
